Temperature switch looks after itself

A new electronic temperature switch integrates self-monitoring functions to withstand the harsh operating conditions found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, machine tools and injection moulding.

A new electronic temperature switch integrates self-monitoring functions to withstand the harsh operating conditions found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, machine tools and injection moulding machines The TempSwitch 2000 not only resists vibration and shock, it also features a robust steel housing and a tamper-proof keypad, making it ideal for OEM applications

Incorporating a seven-segment LED display that is rotatable through 330 degrees for positioning after mounting, the new TempSwitch 2000 is designed as much for ease of use as it is for extreme environments.

Its microprocessor, for example, conforms to the DESINA standard and provides enhanced levels of practicality through self-monitoring capabilities and an error display.

This enables machines to be set up faster and, through more effective diagnostics, significantly reduces downtime.

The IP67-rated electronic temperature switch has two solid-state contacts providing a full-scale measuring accuracy of 0.5% at 25C and a number of measuring ranges, including 0 to +100 and -30 to +150C.

Offering full-scale repeatability levels of +/-0.1%, the new TempSwitch 2000 delivers accuracy alongside durability and ease of use.

Commenting on the launch, David Thomas, UK and Ireland Sales Manager at Barksdale, said: "The TempSwitch 2000 pulls together many of the factors that are critical to accurate temperature measurement in a number of industries.

For instance, its discrete size and aluminium die-cast housing makes it ideal for installation in some of the most extreme industrial environments imaginable". Request a free brochure from Barksdale Control Products ...
