Barnant Company now offers its line of Ponndorf peristaltic hose pumps in 24 dry-running and lubricated models with capacities up to 220 psig (15 Bar) pressure and 176 GPM (40 m3/hr) flow.

These large-capacity hose pumps are in stock for immediately delivery to customers in a wide range of process and industrial fluid handling applications.

These uses include brewing, food, water treatment, paint and coating, chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and construction/mining.

While Barnant has long served these markets with its world-renowned Masterflex and other tubing pumps, this new Ponndorf line of hose pumps enables customers to reap the benefits of Barnant peristaltic pumping technology in much higher capacity ranges.

Ponndorf hose pumps feature no seals to leak, no check valves or flap valves to clog, dry running capability, self-priming suction lift to 26 ft.

and, a fundamental advantage of peristaltic technology, the pumped fluid contacts only the hose material.

This feature makes hose pumps particularly useful for abrasive slurries and corrosive fluids, as well as shear-sensitive food and pharmaceutical media.

Standard pump drives are fixed-speed integral gearmotors.

Optional drive packages include mechanical variable speed drives, SCR drives with DC motors (up to 20:1 turndown) and frequency inverter drives (10:1 turndown).

Pump housings are cast aluminum alloy, with optional chem-duty, sanitary washdown and hazardous area rated enclosures available.

Standard electric variable speed controls may be enhanced with hose rupture detection alarms and/or a preventive maintenance hose life monitoring system.

Other available accessories for these hose pumps include pulsation dampeners and pump connectors to provide a total fluid handling system, compatible with any automation protocol.

A wide variety of rubber and TPE hose materials for process media compatibility are also available.
