Barnant is today the only peristaltic pump manufacturer in the industry that provides NSF 61 certified peristaltic tubing.
Barnant Norprene potable water peristaltic tubing is available in both standard and high pressure formulations and a large selection of sizes to meet the service requirements of the specific pump and application.
Precision extruded to meet exacting tolerances, the tubing exhibits characteristics ideal for both chemical dispensing and continuous water sample delivery in potable water treatment, including superior shape memory throughout its life in the pump, little cross-sectional distortion over time, and minimal variation in flow over time - for long life, good chemical resistance, and good pressure performance.
With a well-balanced range of capacities and flexibility, excellent repeatability and optimal chemical resistance, Barnant's Masterflex pumps equipped with its Norprene potable water tubing provide numerous advantages over diaphragm metering, lobe, gear or process cavity pumps for meeting the stringent challenges of essential dosing, chemical delivery and product transfer operations in potable water treatment.
Masterflex pumps never become air-bound due to outgassing of sodium hypochlorite and other oxidants, and the pumps' very low shear combined with high volumetric accuracy make them the best choice for handling coagulants, flocculants, polymers and other shear-sensitive materials commonly used in potable water treatment.
