US-spec motors in stock in Europe

Baldor has greatly expanded the range of NEMA electric motors it stocks in Europe.

Baldor has greatly expanded the range of NEMA electric motors it stocks in Europe, eliminating the multi-week supply chain delays that many European machinery OEMs face when building equipment for US markets Over 500 motor lines, ranging from fractional horsepowers up to 30HP+, are now held at Baldor's European logistics warehouse for ex-stock delivery

The new service is believed to be the most comprehensive in Europe.

For a majority of European users, it means that their NEMA frame motor requirements can be supplied anywhere within 48 hours - or even same-day in some instances.

This provides efficient and cost-effective support for OEMs building equipment for North American markets or regions where US standards are employed.

The service is also ideal for maintenance companies who repair motors supplied on equipment sourced from the US - as a new motor often represents a more cost effective alternative to rewinding, especially when the typical energy savings that the latest motors deliver are taken into account.

Compared with motors manufactured 5-10 years ago, the use of new high-grade materials means that an energy saving of 5%+ is often achieved.

This is particularly beneficial for businesses operating continuous or multiple-shift processes - such as those in sectors including chemical/petrochemical plants, water and utilities, paper mills, mining, steel/metal, automotive, and larger food and beverage plants - as the cost of operating a motor far exceeds its purchase price.

"Baldor's ex-stock NEMA service can reduce delivery times by a month or more", says Brian Fletcher, Baldor's Industrial Products Manager.

"We'll even hold agreed stock levels for OEMs, greatly simplifying supply chain management, and actively helping customers to secure new business".

Baldor additionally offers free NEMA advice, which can be an invaluable service for engineers who only occasionally need to specify NEMA products.

NEMA standards are continually evolving - changes to efficiency labelling and conduit box sizes are recent examples - and Baldor has experts located in Europe, as well as access to staff based in the US who sit on NEMA committees. Request a free brochure from Baldor UK ...
