Conferences focus on machine safety
The BARA machine safety conferences will provide an overview of machinery safety standards, covering current and emerging standards
BARA, the British Automation and Robot Association, has announced two conferences on machine safety for 2008 The first will be in Manchester on the 17th June, the second taking place in the Midlands on 30th September

CAE technology conference attracts big guns
This year's Altair Technology Conference will take place on 2nd November at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon.
The conferences are run in association with Drives and Controls and sponsored by the Laidlers, IET, IMechE and MachineBuilding.net.
The conferences will provide a comprehensive overview of machinery safety standards, covering current and emerging standards, applicable technology and will examine practical application through case studies.
Sessions will include safety-related networking and emerging robotic safety standards.
The conference is aimed at specifiers and designers of machinery and safety-related electrical control systems, as well as managers and engineers responsible for machinery safety.
Speakers will include the HSE, Fortress Interlocks, Rockwell Automation, Proctor Machine Guarding, Pilz, Sick and system integrators.
