The series 12 laser distance sensor from Baumer Electric sets a new standard for the size of optical measuring laser sensors.

The series 12 laser distance sensor from Baumer Electric sets a new standard for the size of optical measuring laser sensors.

Now it is possible to make high accuracy, non-contact measurements when space is at a premium.

Despite its small dimensions of 12x37x34mm, no features from its larger counterparts are missing.

Two measuring ranges (16 - 26mm and 16 - 120mm) are available with a resolution down to 2um.

The analog current output (4-20mA) can be scaled to indicate the measuring distance.

Even the teachable measuring range feature is offered by the OADM 12.

The teach-in procedure can be achieved by the built in teach button or via the external teach-in wire.

The sensor's measuring values are nearly independent of colour and surface texture and offer an excellent degree of linearity.

Even the response time of this the little sensor reaches the same 0.9ms value as its big brother.

The OADM 12 offers everything a fast, automated measuring application needs.

Visit Baumer Electric on Stand 4480 at the Total Processing and Packaging exhibition at the NEC between Monday 29th March and Thursday 1st April to see this sensor demonstrated and to view the company's full range of products.
