Bimetal thermometer has steady pointer

A Baumer Electric product story

The TBHI bimetal thermometer offered by Baumer Process Instrumentation has a steady pointer due to its guided wire, and is now available with an optional damping liquid.

Based on the TBI series, the TBHI is designed to be used in severe conditions, such as chemical and petrochemical industries, power generation, as well as marine and offshore applications.

Vibrations, which are common in heavy-duty industry, are absorbed by the thermometer's wire guide making the temperature indicator stable.

The use of a damping liquid (silicon oil) also avoids vibrations of the pointer and is applicable with a maximum measuring temperature of up to 250C.

Due to the completely welded stainless steel construction, the reinforced case with a sealed bayonet ring, the protection class IP68 according to the EN60529 standard and an optional security glass, the TBHI is a very robust instrument.

The bayonet ring is sealed with a dustproof and leak-proof silicone gasket.

The TBHI is able to measure temperature ranges from -70C to 600C.

The instrument is available with a stem diameter of 6mm and 8mm, and with a length from 60mm to 1,000mm.

It is offered with a wide range of fixed and sliding connections.

The thermometer case can be tilted up to 90deg, and it can be orientated before mounting by rotating the harness assembly up to 360deg.
