Linear Positioning Stages with built-in integrated servo motors have been introduced by Bayside Motion Group.

Linear Positioning Stages with built-in integrated servo motors have been introduced by Bayside Motion Group.

Called the Micro Plus (D) Stages, they are designed to decrease overall system size while providing increased dynamic performance.

Bayside Micro Plus (D) stages feature an integrated brushless DC servo motor and encoder design, allowing for a compact system.

The magnetic rotor assembly is configured directly on the ball screw and a rotary encoder senses position directly from the screw shaft.

This design eliminates mechanical errors and pliant parts, such as motor mounting brackets and flexible couplings.

Integrating the motor directly into the stage increases the system's dynamic response and stiffness, while providing greater reliability.

Designed with a low profile, lightweight aluminium construction, Micro Plus (D) Stages feature re-circulating linear guides for long travels and exceptional load carrying capabilities.

Travels are available from 300-1000mm and precision ball screws are available in 5, 10 and 20mm leads, for speeds up to 1.5m/sec.
