A new compact, vertical stage for precision movement and positioning has been introduced by Bayside Motion Group With accuracy better than 5 microns and closed-loop repeatability sub-micron over its 10mm (+/-5mm) travel range, the new Z100 is ideal for such applications as laser drilling, fibre optic alignment, thin film metrology and part placement

This precise and stable motion is ensured by driving a wedge guided by precision ground, crossed-roller bearings instead of using vertically mounted linear devices.

The mounting surface is 100mm square and there is totally unobstructed 360deg access.

The Z100 has a nominal height of 68mm and comes as standard with a 40mm servo motor or NEMA 17 mounting flange.

Other stages in the Z range provide 13mm and 25mm precise vertical travel.
