New European administration and production facilities for Bayside Motion Group, manufacturer of precision motion products and systems, have been acquired and are scheduled to open from January 2002

New European administration and production facilities for Bayside Motion Group, manufacturer of precision motion products and systems, have been acquired and are scheduled to open from January 2002 Located near Frankfurt, Germany, the new premises more than doubles the existing office accommodation, but more importantly provides for the first time in Europe both assembly and production capacity

Totalling around 500m2, the new Bayside factory is intended to provide European specific solutions for the European market and promote both a faster and more flexible service for customers.

"This move by Bayside is timed to maximise investment value with a view to being well placed for the expected economic upturn during 2002," says Ron Schneider, Operations Manager, Europe.

Initially, the factory will be employed for assembling Bayside's 'Stealth' planetary servo gearheads.

This includes the high-precision, high-torque, low-backlash 'PS' range and the more economic 'PX' gearhead for less demanding applications.

The operation will be progressively geared-up for manufacturing the complete Bayside product range: gearheads, servo gearmotors, precision linear motion stages, servo motors (rotary, linear and frameless) and servo amplifiers.
