Powered by an iron-based linear motor and available in multi-axis configurations, Bayside Motion's Luge LM linear stage is ideal for precision motion applications demanding smooth, constant velocity travel for high loads.

Its rugged construction combined with high accuracy makes the stage equally suitable for such applications as packaging, robotics and electronics assembly.

With a peak force of 340N, the Luge provides accelerations up to 4g and constant velocities of 3m/s with jitter-free travel (up to 2m) to permit precision on-the-fly functions to be performed.

An integral encoder provides accuracies up to 0.1um (+/-2um repeatability), and recirculating linear guides impart exceptional load carrying capabilities (39kg).

Design features of the Luge include Bayside's AutoFlex technology, a unique flexure design that automatically adjusts bearing preload for optimum system performance during thermal expansion and high accelerations.

There are also prewired limit switches.

Bayside also offers direct drive and flange mount models versions of the Luge.
