Bayside Motion Group reckons its "Micro" Series cross-roller linear stages make the ideal building blocks for multi-axis, precision, positioning systems.

The Micro Series stages are modular in construction and combine robustness and high-load carrying capability with high levels of accuracy.

These characteristics give machine builders a wealth of configuration options to achieve there precision positioning requirements, particularly those involved in such fields as semiconductors, aerospace, bioscience, graphic arts, research and factory automation.

As stand-alone units, employing either precision ground ball or lead screws, the Micro stages offer travels up to 300mm.

Alternatively, they can be combined by OEMs or Bayside Motion Group to form multi-axis x-y-z positioning configurations.

This versatility makes them ideal for such applications as optical inspection, lens grinding, laser machining, semiconductor inspection and dicing, plus many more.

Performance capabilities include travels ranging from 25 to 300mm and load capacity up to 122.5kg.

Accuracies are to 1um with bidirectional repeatability of +/-1um using closed-loop control.

Integration flexibility is enhanced with the options to accept stepper or servomotors, with feedback provided by mounted encoder or linear scale.
