The electrical components on the caravan or trailer need to tested or repaired periodically, and often without the attendance of the towing vehicle, which would normally be the power supply.
Also, as most of the electrical equipment to be tested is visual, you would normally need two people, one to operated the circuit, and another to witness the function.
With the Towtest product these problems are overcome, with the product supplying a battery or mains power supply, and remote pendent operation, thus allowing one person to both operate and confirm the results independently.
Towtest is supplied for use with a mains power supply or rechargeable battery operation, which is particularly useful when using the product on a mobile service - which can often be the case where caravans are stored or attending a customers site where a power supply is not usually known.
This product is ideal for testing trailer electrics at installation, or for regular checkups, without the need to have a dedicated electrical supply from a slave vehicle; and gives that added benefit of being able to allow the operation to be done by one person.
The Towtest is being marketed towards the caravan and trailer repairers and servicers, who in the past have relied on either having a slave vehicle to use, or a "home made" system, that probably does meet all the industry requirements.
Towtest is contained in an aluminium case, with the rechargeable battery pack, and pendent.
This allows it to be offered to both the fixed workshop and the mobile servicing operatives.
