Gibbs to make mark at fasteners firm
Design and Development Engineer recruited to support a growing demand for custom fastenings and to work with clients in the development and prototyping of bespoke pressings, clips and wireforms.
Manufacturer of push-on fasteners Baker and Finnemore (Bakfin) has strengthened its team with the addition of a design engineer Joining the company from his previous role as Production Engineer for machinery protection specialist Beakbane, Mark Gibbs has taken up the post of Design and Development Engineer at Bakfin

A fully-qualified mechanical and production engineer, Gibbs brings with him nearly 20 years design experience, plus a wealth of knowledge in CADCAM and CNC machining.
He has been recruited to support a growing demand for Bakfin's custom fastenings, and has joined the company's design department to work with clients in developing and prototyping bespoke pressings, clips and wireforms.
Bakfin makes the Starlock push-on fastener, but is increasingly requested to work with clients and distributors in developing custom fasteners for use in new applications.
Supported by in-house toolmaking, heat treatment and quality and testing, the service is for special projects, and promises to be cost effective, catering for high and low production volumes.
Gibbs, who is from Rednall, south Birmingham, said: "I'm delighted to be working with such a well-known and respected company".
"From the beginning I liked the people and the company's history, and I look forward to working with Bakfin on some challenging future projects".
