The company therefore heavily invests in research and development.
During 2007 Bekaert will solidify its current share of the European market for Bekaert Dylyn Plus coatings for automotive engines.
The goal is to provide increased services and solutions support for European customers, and will include market research programmes and state of the art product releases.
Bekaert's new round of investments will double the production capacity at its production site for automotive engine coatings in Bons-en-Chablais (France).
This increased production capacity will allow Bekaert to serve its European customers from two centrally located production facilities in Zulte (Belgium) and Bons-en-Chablais (France).
Bekaert anticipates that the expansion will result in prompt delivery times and enable its rapidly expanding customer base to benefit from a high level of service and support.
"Throughout 2007, we will be implementing our significant investment in developing, testing and marketing advanced new coatings to meet the demanding requirements of our customers".
