Incorporating quartz MEMS inertial sensors, the MIGITS includes a new 12-channel C/A code GPS receiver to form a high accuracy, rugged, compact inertial navigation system.

Incorporating quartz MEMS inertial sensors, the MIGITS (MEMS integrated GPS/INS tactical system) from BEI Systron Donner Inertial Division, includes a new 12-channel C/A code GPS receiver to form a high accuracy, rugged, compact inertial navigation system.

The heart of the unit is a 44mm cube, 6-degree of freedom sensor cluster with MEMS GyroChip rotation sensors and accelerometers.

This sensor cluster is built with mature technology devices currently in volume production.

The complete MIGITS unit operates from 28V DC, weighs only 1.1kg and provides serial digital output of position, velocity, altitude, heading, attitude, time, acceleration and angular velocity data.

Developed for aviation, military and aerospace applications, the unit has a positional accuracy of 3.9m SEP, velocity to 1m/s, attitude to 1mrad, heading to 1.5mrad.

Environmental specifications include a military temperature range, 12g RMS vibration and 20g, 11ms half-sine shock capability.
