A full line of aluminium-constructed control-panel LCD monitors, with screen sizes from 6.5 to 20in, is now available integrated with a choice from four types of integrated PCs.

The extensive panel PC range offers customers the flexibility to meet specific requirements at the right price.

The control panel, which makes up the operator interface, has options for a full membrane keyboard, function keys, keyboard ports, disk drives, mouse ports, built-in electrical pushbuttons, touch screen, touch pads, and even customer-specific data ports such as data card readers.

The PCs are scaleable in size and functionality from the miniature CX1000 up to the full size ATX motherboard CP6500.

The CX1000 panel PC can be used as an all-in-one motion, PLC, and HMI controller running Windows CE or Windows embedded XP.

Next on the scale, is the CP6300 panel PC which has a single-board computer capable of operating a PIII 850MHz Intel processor with one available ISA/PCI slot, 128Mbyte upgradeable SDRAM, and onboard Ethernet.

Further up the scale is the CP6400 panel PC which has all the capabilities of the CP6300 with additional expansion slots.

Finally, the CP6500 panel PC has a full-size socket 370 ATX motherboard which has the most available slots and has an option for Beckhoff's latest high-performance socket 478 motherboard.

The socket 478 motherboard is capable of handling Intel's latest 2GHz+ processors and includes onboard graphics and Ethernet along with a blazing fast 400MHz front side bus for communicating to the faster standard 256 DDR RAM.

By adding Beckhoff's TwinCAT software, Fieldbus cards, and I/O to any panel PC a complete motion, HMI and PLC control package, capable of handling even the most demanding multi-interpolated motion tasks is available for action.
