A novel power distribution box allows the distribution of power to several Fieldbus Box I/O modules.

A novel power distribution box allows the distribution of power to several Fieldbus Box I/O modules.

Each Fieldbus Box I/O module has two separate power connections located on the bottom of the module.

There are two separate power connections which ensure the sensitive intelligent electronics power is separated from the sensor power.

Therefore, a sensor short circuit or increased current draw will not damage the intelligent electrical circuit.

Power can be daisy chained from one Fieldbus Box module to another until the maximum current is reached.

Powering additional Fieldbus Box I/O modules requires the addition of another power source which is now easily integrated using the power distribution box.

The Fieldbus Box product is available in several networks including Devicenet, Profibus, CANopen and, soon to come, Ethernet.
