Single seaters, saloons and GTs can now enjoy F1 technology with Beru F1 Systems' Digi Tyre Lite digital tyre pressure monitoring system.

The turnkey system retains the accuracy and reliability of the Digi Tyre digital system but at a lower cost.

The safety and performance advantages of tyre monitoring together with optimisation of tyre wear and vehicle handling characteristics will assist a new level of drivers to improve even a limited test schedule.

"I am frequently approached by drivers and teams looking for a high performance, rugged yet lightweight systems at a more affordable level," said Managing Director of Beru F1 Systems, John Bailey.

"With this in mind, we set out to develop a product that retains accuracy with new levels of value".

The cost breakthrough has been achieved through simplified electronics and feature set, standard installation wiring loom and the use of less exotic materials for packaging the components.

Despite the changes, Digi Tyre Lite retains its ability to perform in extreme conditions and can still work in harsh environments.

The kit comprises four wheel sensors with valves, an ECU and four digital antennae.

For drivers monitoring characteristics during endurance races or longer stints, an optional compact display is available to show real-time pressure and temperature data.

To develop the system further, a mini trigger that permits pit crew to interrogate the ECU rapidly via a wireless LF protocol is available.

It lets team members independently review data while the driver debriefs other parameters.
