Innovative new tooling which enables the high quality continuous online lamination of adhesive tapes to profile extrusions is now available from adhesive tape manufacturer tesa Developed for use with tesa double-sided and single-sided spool rolls containing up to 10km of product the dispenser can reduce manufacturing costs by significantly reducing production downtime through fewer roll changes

Purely mechanical in operation, the tesa 6081 spool roll dispenser requires no additional services.

Adhesive tapes are positioned accurately and are securely bonded to substrates.

Firstly a soft wheel applies sufficient pressure to create the initial tack and a hard roller completes the bonding process.

To ensure reliable, smooth running and uninterrupted production the spool roll dispenser incorporates a specially designed brake-buffer system which makes sure the tape unwinds evenly from the roll.

The dispenser can unwind in any direction and automatically compensates for tension caused by acceleration of the spool during unwinding and prevents run-on when stopping.

The dispenser can be adapted to fit seamlessly into most production processes and continuously apply tesa's extremely wide range of adhesive tapes to trims, profiles and extrusions manufactured in various plastics materials including PVC, PS, PP and ABS.
