CD holds a "bootful" of product data

Beko Technologies has put all its technical, commercial and application data onto a single handy CD.

Beko Technologies has put all its technical, commercial and application data onto a single handy CD, providing customers and distributors with quick and easy access to almost any aspect of the company's products.

Holding the equivalent of over 400 A4 pages, the CD contains information on the entire Beko Technologies' range of equipment for compressed air condensate treatment, emulsion splitting plant, compressed air membrane drying and deep cooling of plastics.

The CD has been designed with a web browser style interface including menus, navigation and search options, in a form familiar to most users.

It contains all Beko's printed materials in PDF format so individual pages can be printed as required.

The browser works on PC and Mac platforms.

Mike Argent, general manager of Beko technologies, explained: "Information is more likely to be used if it's readily accessible and CD technology means that the days of wading through lengthy catalogues and manuals are numbered.

The CD takes up virtually no space and users can find what they need in seconds.

Before the CD was available, our sales representatives were driving round with a boot full of paper".

The CD contains operator's manuals, sales literature and application brochures for each of Beko's seven products.

Information covers key features, user guides and specifications, and includes full colour photographs, charts and diagrams.

Distributors can view and print out copies of promotional materials as well as brochures.

There is even a full price list covering all products, accessories, replacement parts and options.

Designed by specialist technical and business products marketing agency Marksman International, the CD can be run on Windows Word 95, 98, 2000 and Windows XP.

Printed copies of all items will still be available for those who do not have ready access to a PC.
