Detector isolates costly leaks

Beko Technologies has launched a novel leak detector that uses ultrasound to detect both vacuum and pressure leaks within a compressed air system.

Beko Technologies has released a novel leak detector that uses ultrasound to detect both vacuum and pressure leaks within a compressed air system The detector is battery operated, lightweight and designed to be handheld

It detects the leaks through a microphone that the operator trains on any area where a leak may be.

If a leak is present the device gives an audio and visual alarm.

Sensitivity can be adjusted to allow even very small leaks to be located.

A memory function shows the highest measured value so works managers can prioritise their system maintenance.

Headphones are included to allow audio detection within a noisy environment.

Beko points to recent figures that show up to 25% of compressed air is wasted in a typical industrial installation and recommend a regular programme of leak checking throughout the compressed air system.

Once a leak is detected it can be repaired by a qualified engineer.

Accessories for the detector include a leather case, water resistant microphones, bendable needle microphones to access small and hard to reach areas, magnets and an ultrasonic sender.

Operating temperature is from 0 to 40C. Request a free brochure from Beko Technologies ...
