Encoder combines field-proven electronics, sealed bearings and BEI's accurate code disk in an all-metal housing to ensure its ruggedness and reliability.

New from BEI Industrial Encoders, the Model L18 absolute encoder provides system designers with high resolution in a small mounting footprint.

This model features 13bit (8192 counts) per turn resolution in only a 46mm (1.8in) servo package.

Because it is optically based, Model L18 has the precision to be used in applications that demand high performance along with small size and weight.

The L18 encoder contains field-proven ASIC electronics, sealed bearings and BEI's accurate code disk in an all-metal housing to ensure its ruggedness and reliability.

Ideal for space or weight limited applications requiring high accuracy, including semiconductor fabrication, industrial robotics, and mobile platforms.

Now you can have a precision absolute encoder packaged to fit where others cannot.
