Berendsen's new self feed drill units, supplied by Compair Tools and Equipment, combine an air or electric motor with a double acting pneumatic cylinder and associated control valves in one unit.

Automated drilling systems require a thorough understanding not only of the components from which they are assembled but also of the industry to which they are applied Berendsen have a vast wealth of experience designing pneumatic systems, both conventional and PLC controlled, for a wide variety of industries

They have the ability to understand and appreciate their customer's particular needs and to design a system that will precisely match their requirements.

Berendsen have now introduced a range of self feed drills to complement their existing range of pneumatic components and their systems design and production facilities.

Berendsen's new self feed drill units, supplied by Compair Tools & Equipment, combine an air or electric motor with a double acting pneumatic cylinder and associated control valves in one discrete unit.

Depending on the control system and attachments specified these units can be used for drilling, tapping screwdriving or nut running in numerous automated operations.

0.33, 0.5, 1 and 4 Hp motors are available, the largest is suitable for drilling holes up to 28 mm in steel and the total stroke of these units ranges from 70 to 140 mm.

Berendsen's self feed drills are available with a plethora of mounting options making them not only suitable for permanent fitment to dedicated machine tools for long production runs but also equally suitable for short production runs on flexible machines.

Numerous frontend attachments are also offered, further increasing the application possibilities of these units.

This addition to Berendsen's range provides their customers with a complete solution to their automatic drilling requirements from the interpretation and identification of the requirement to the design, manufacture and installation of an appropriate and integrated system.
