Larger capacity for hydraulic motors
Eaton has introduced larger capacity versions of their hydraulic low speed high torque geroler J series motors. Eaton J-02 motors give a substantial source of rotary power in a very compact envelope.

Complete Self Feed Drilling Systems introduced
Berendsen's new self feed drill units, supplied by Compair Tools and Equipment, combine an air or electric motor with a double acting pneumatic cylinder and associated control valves in one unit.
The new motors increase the J series' capacity range to 50 cm3/rev; they generate 62 Nm at 97 bar their continuous pressure.
This performance from a motor 60.5 mm in diameter and 130.3 mm long (excluding the shaft).
These new Eaton Char-Lynn Motors are available in the UK from Berendsen PMC Due to some exceptional design features Eaton J-02 motors offer high efficiency, and excellent start up and low speed running characteristics.
Efficiency is improved by the use of a geroler gear set as opposed to the more common Gerotor set.
Further improvement in efficiency is achieved by the motors having wider spool valve lands, thus reducing internal leakage and by these motors having a more rigid wear plate and other internal components which resist deformation and subsequent internal leakage under higher pressures.
Excellent start up and low speed running is achieved by the use of the geroler gear set which offers low internal leakage and lower friction and the spool valve is not an integral part of the drive shaft so it is unaffected by side loads and/or wear therefore increased leakage under these conditions is eliminated.
