Bete, the UK arm of US spray specialist, Bete Fog Nozzle, has developed a claimed solution to combat one of the most common problems associated with spraying using impingement nozzles.

That means a variety of spraying applications will no longer experience regular nozzle clogging, bringing real benefits in terms of increased production efficiency and a significant reduction in costly downtime for essential maintenance said Bete.

Now incorporating an advanced porous polypropylene filter, Bete's new PJ impingement nozzles represent a significant enhancement to the existing PJ range and are specifically designed to reduce clogging without sacrificing performance said the company.

With an increased surface area, the new filters take far longer to become congested than current stainless steel mesh screens and dramatically cut the frequency with which the components need to be cleaned.

A one-piece nozzle, the PJ provides high-energy efficiency, delivering 70 micron filtration of contaminants such as dirt and burs at an operating temperature of up to 155 degrees F.

Backwards compatible with existing PJ nozzles, the new PJs offer a low-pressure drop, are available in standard or extra long versions, and are resistant to a broad range of chemicals.

Available in 316 stainless steel, the compact nozzles contain no whirl vanes or internal parts, offer a one eight inch or quarter inch male connection and deliver a cone-shaped fog pattern with a 90 degree spray angle at flow rates of 0.0580 to 5.34 litres per minute.
