Cables are made for drive connections
Belden has expanded its line of IndustrialTuff variable frequency drive (VFD) cables, designed to carry power from AC drive systems to AC motors.
The new line of connectivity components is designed to provide the industrial marketplace with robust, standards-based, end-to-end connectivity solutions.
Belden's DataTuff products are designed for mission critical applications, with all components built to withstand the harsh environmental conditions of the plant floor.
The range includes cord sets, modular jacks and plug kits.
Belden DataTuff connectivity solutions accessories include stainless steel faceplates, surface mount boxes and hand tools to crimp either UTP or FTP RF45 plugs, as well as cable strippers, a punch-down connecting tool and a tool pouch.
Belden's sealed IP67-rated components are designed for use in factory and process areas in unprotected and outdoor environments.
They are resistant to the ingress of dust, moisture, water, oil and chemical exposure.
Belden's nonsealed, IP20-rated cord sets are designed for use inside more protected enclosures, such as control rooms and other areas but may be subjected to extreme temperatures, EMI/RFI and vibration.
Many of the DataTuff industrial Ethernet cables use Belden's Bonded-Pair technology - a construction that affixes the conductor insulation of the cable pairs along their longitudinal axis to ensure that no performance-robbing gaps that can develop between conductor pairs.
The result is consistently superior electrical performance even after the rigors of installation - a capability Belden calls Installable Performance.
