Warm Reception for BF Group at Brookfield Hotel

When the Brookfield Hotel in Emsworth, Hampshire was replacing all of its computer hardware, the BF Group was on hand to help create a contemporary reception area.

The stylish looks and space-saving dimensions of the S-15 display from the BF Group were the main reasons for its specification.

The S-15 is part of the Neovo flat screen display range which incorporates ease of use with added value and ergonomic features.

Alistair Gibson, General Manager of the 40-room Brookfield Hotel says, "We were updating all of our hardware and chose the Neovo displays from BF because they presented the right image for the hotel.

The amount of comments that we have had from guests has been amazing - they are all very impressed with the style and image of the product and I think BF will receive a few enquiries from our customers!" BF Group also supplies the S-15T, a touch screen version of the display.

Further plans for the reception area at the hotel include incorporating one of these screens as an information board.

"We are currently developing a website for the hotel, and once this has been completed we would like to have a touch screen display for our guests to use as an interactive notice board that would include our website and news from the hotel," comments Alistair.

The Neovo S-15 and M-15 panel displays provide the ultimate web browsing appliance.

Both 15in TFT monitors are available with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels, and a brightness of 200 cd/m2.

All ranges are Mac compatible and are supplied with a three year warrantee.

A specially formulated anti-reflective, scratch-proof glass filter is incorporated into both ranges, resulting in the surface of the glass being highly resistant to scratches or other damage when touched by foreign objects.

The Neovo S-15 is available in three models, The standard S-15 panel display, the S-15V with video decoder for DVD, VCD and VCR player, and the S-15T touch display with surface acoustic wave touch screen technology.

The LCD monitor controls allow for single key auto, volume/mute, and standby/on/off adjustment.

An easy to use OSD interface is included for full control of image and colour adjustments.

The benefits of using surface acoustic wave technology, as opposed to capacitive and resistance touchscreens, are many.

These include very high light transmission, a stable 'no drift' operation, excellent durability, fast touch response, high resolution, and 'gloved hand' operation sensitivity.

Unlike capacitive touch screens, when the S-15T is used, the body is not made part of the circuit, making touch reports extremely accurate.

Excessive wear in one location due to repetitive touching is usually a result of front coatings that can be easily damaged.

Front coatings are not used with the S-15T, hence its long lifespan.
