Originally developed for the food processing industry, BF has introduced chassis mounted bespoke computers that operate in high temperature/humidity applications.

Originally developed for the food processing industry, BF has introduced chassis mounted bespoke computers that operate in high temperature/humidity applications, where minimal down time and reliability are paramount.

The standard product is based around a high brightness 350cd/sq.m, 12.1in (31cm) SVGA TFT display with 6-wire resistive touch screen, a 933MHz Pentium III single board computer.

The units are fully assembled and tested at BF's offices in Swindon, and use power factor corrected power supplies that conform to the latest EU regulations.

The stainless steel bezel is designed for IP65 sealing to the outside environment and can be mounted into a similar IP65 environment enclosure.

The touch screen is integrated into the bezel and is connected to the computer board via a serial port.

For customers needing to implement higher resolution software solutions BF also offers a 15 or 17in (38cm or 43cm) version that comes in standard or high brightness options.

If requirements necessitate other touch screen technologies, then BF can implement either capacitive or the new glass/glass XGT technology, offering finger/pen input and vandal-proofing.
