The MS8000 Series Accelerometer from Colibrys, a world-leading supplier of high performance accelerometers is now available in the UK through BFi Optilas.

The MS8000 series is available in +/-2, +/-10, +/-30 and +/-100g ranges and ideal for inertial, tilt/inclination and vibration/seismic sensing applications.

The robust, rugged and low power design combined with excellent bias stability guarantee the superior reliability of the MS8000 series.

The MS8000 series MEMS accelerometer is based on a bulk micromachined silicon element, a low power ASIC for signal conditioning, a microcontroller for storage of compensation values and a temperature sensor.

It operates from a single power supply voltage between 2.5 and 5.5 V with a typical current consumption of 320uA at 5V.

The output is a ratiometric analogue voltage that varies between 0.5 and 4.5V for a full-scale acceleration range at a power supply of voltage 5V.

The sensors are fully self-contained and packaged in a 48-pin LCC housing.

They operate over a temperature range of -55 to +125C and can withstand shocks up to 6000g without performance degradation.
