Safety training to gain international
dimension
The British Safety Council has applied to become an accredited centre to teach NEBOSH qualifications alongside its own courses.
In one of the most significant developments in the health and safety sector in recent years, leading occupational health and safety charity, the British Safety Council (BSC), has applied to become an accredited centre to teach NEBOSH qualifications The new courses will be delivered alongside the BSC's existing qualifications, and will make the BSC the first health and safety organisation to offer a full suite of accredited qualifications to meet the needs of the market

He continued: "The decision to offer NEBOSH courses is in keeping with our mission to support a healthier, safer and more sustainable society".
"With 241 deaths at work last year, it is vital that people working in the health and safety world are trained to the highest standards to be able to reduce deaths and injuries in the workplace".
Teresa Budworth, NEBOSH's Chief Executive, commented: "We welcome BSC's application to run our NEBOSH qualifications".
"As a registered charity, we at NEBOSH strongly believe that we have an obligation to work with other charitable organisations in promoting health and safety, particularly through education and training".
She continued: "NEBOSH works closely with all of its accredited centres and looks forward to supporting the BSC in the future".
