Bartec's new state of the art Safe.t Academy will offer the ideal platform for an exchange of knowledge and experience between customers, partners and employees in a structured form.

Renowned throughout the world, Bartec, based in Bad Mergentheim, Germany has been responsible for developing technologies for the protection of people, plant, machinery and the environment for over 30 years The innovation and advanced production together with the continuing development and distribution of safety technological solutions in the form of components, products, systems and services for application in hazardous areas, still forms the basis on which the company was founded

Now, against the background of European harmonisation, new explosion protection guidelines have been released, which aim to unify safety levels throughout Europe.

These guidelines are applicable from the development and marketing of new components, devices, products and systems through to their applications and servicing in hazardous areas, especially in the process systems of the chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical industries as well as in general industrial engineering, manufacturing, food processing, power generation and mining.

As a recognised expert in the field of safety technology, Bartec offers the knowhow required to both clients and partners, and together with their experienced personnel, is inviting them to participate in an exchange forum, covering a variety of discussions on hazardous area protection and other aspects relating to industrial safety technology.

Already, this year, more than 1000 of Bartec's customers and industrial partners have benefited from participating in seminars, meetings and presentations at the company's head office, on a range of selected safety technology subjects.

Now the company aims to strengthen this facility with its newly founded, state of the art, Safe.t Academy, which will offer the ideal platform for an exchange of knowledge and experience between customers, partners and employees in a structured form, so that the choice of expertly directed seminars, based on relevant safety subjects, will be matched to individual target groups.

In the past few weeks, more than 75 experts from around the world, from the most varying of industrial sectors, including chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and energy industries as well as from the machine and system engineering sectors, met for two days in Bad Mergentheim for an exchange of knowledge on the safety of explosion protected systems.

This exchange of current developments in connection with the implementation of European explosion directive ATEX and the consequent impact on occupational safety regulations in industry in general, will be carried on by Bartec experts in a programme of seminars, through out the rest of the year and into 2006.
