The Regula Innovation Award is presented annually at the prestigious Magyar Regula trade fair, the largest Hungarian trade fair to showcase process automation.
The award is given to exhibited products and solutions which, in the opinion of the judges, stand out because of their highly innovative character.
Polaris particularly convinced the judges with the transfer of computer technologies, which are applied as a standard in non-Ex areas, to Ex areas.
The judging panel, consisting of four leading professors holding chairs in process automation at the most renowned Hungarian universities were also said to be highly impressed by the products data exchange via wireless LAN as well as the numerous application areas, the product covers.
The Polaris panel PC devices have been especially developed by Bartec for applications in explosive industrial areas, which may be subject to explosive gases and dusts.
Picking up the award, Bartec's CEO, Ralph Koster said: "The continuous implementation of innovations is the key to first-class safety technology and a substantial success factor in our global accomplishments; after all, there is no growth without innovations".
