The BFPA continues the well-established policy of helping member companies secure contracts and meaningful introductions in many developing markets around the world The association once again secured a prime position for its British Pavilion at the PTC (Power Transmission and Control) Exhibition which ran from 10th to 13th October 2006 at the New International Expo Centre, Shanghai, China, right in the business heart of the world's fastest growing economy

The Shanghai exhibition is just one of several international shows around the world attended by the BFPA that offers major business opportunities for member companies.

The list of British organisations represented in the Shanghai Pavilion reads like a who's who of the UK fluid power industry and included FPE, Holmbury, Integrated Hydraulics, MP Filtri UK, Ultraline and Webtec Products.

The flow of goods from China to the UK touched some GBP16 Billion in the past twelve months.

Companies like Webtec Products and MP Filtri UK are balancing the books by making substantial inroads into the Far East markets, selling specialised and sophisticated monitoring equipment to Chinese companies desperate for highly developed technologies from the UK.

British made technology, services and manufactured goods are in demand across the board.

The fluid power industry is just one of many that finds no shortage of customers in a Chinese market demonstrating explosive growth.

Throughout the 4 days of the Shanghai exhibition the Union Jack clad BFPA pavilion was a huge draw.

Show visitors thronged to the stand because they know that British technology is largely unsurpassed and usually exceptional value.

Chinese engineers respect British technology and work well with UK companies as they are trained to very much the same standard as their UK counterparts.
