Hose assembly training gathers pace

A The British Fluid Power Association product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 6, 2008

A quality training scheme is one of the surest ways to raise professionalism within the workforce while improving safety, output quality and customer satisfaction.

Having been well received on its introduction in the spring of 2007, the BFPA Hose Assembly Technology (HAT) scheme is going from strength to strength.

Now in development with a number of affiliated, major hose connector manufacturers and distributors, it is expected that many, if not all of these companies will be in a position to offer HAT training to their own customers by autumn 2008, thereby adding another chapter to the training success story.

It has long been recognised that a well-developed quality training scheme is one of the surest ways to raise professionalism within the workforce while at the same time improving safety, output quality and customer satisfaction.

Companies who embrace training schemes such as those offered by the BFPA therefore inevitably find themselves better able to compete in local and global markets.

Only BFPA affiliated companies who have achieved centre approval are authorised to deliver the HAT training qualification.

A list of BFPA affiliated companies is available on the organisation's website.
