APEG seeks to promote a clear understanding of the contribution of engineering to national prosperity.

The BFPA has attended an important meeting of APEG in the House of Lords recently, chaired by Bill Olner MP.

APEG (Associated Parliamentary Engineering Group) consists of specialist Parliamentarians and a broad range of industry experts concerned with engineering, including the BFPA.

APEG exists as a forum for the exchange of information and views amongst its members, operating on an all-party basis within and outside Parliament.

The group seeks to promote a clear understanding of the contribution of engineering to national prosperity in the context of the world economy and recent meeting attended by the BFPA furthered that aim.

The BFPA helped spotlight the importance of high-quality education and training within their various fields of operation.

The BFPA tabled views which enabled Mr Olner to gain a current picture of how the industry sees itself moving forward and how the country can best achieve a climate in which UK and European engineering can thrive in a more professional environment.
