To clear stock before the RoHS directive takes effect, Blue Chip is running a last time buy on end of life products with a discount of 15% for orders placed before the 31st March 2006.

From June 2006, it is illegal to ship electronic product containing material from a defined list of hazardous substances, the most familiar being the lead used in the PCB soldering process.

The advent of RoHS will see the obsolescence of kit throughout the electronics industry.

On Blue Chip's web site is a basic guide to the RoHS legislation and its implications.

The company will thus be re-aligning its data acquisition range and running a last time buy on end of life (EOL) product.

All EOL products will be fully supported under its standard five-year warranty, letting company's manage and plan for the RoHS transition.

Furthermore, stock will be discounted by 15% for orders placed before the 31st March 2006.

The ISA bus has been an feature of industrial computers for over 20 years, a trusted interface of legacy kit.

However, RoHS could prove to be the final curtain call for the ISA bus.

Blue Chip Technology can offer guidance on the PCI equivalent cards for the EOL ISA based cards, and offers a 10% discount on all PCI cards and free driver software for orders placed before 31st March 2006.
