Bison Gear and Engineering has added the VWDIR33 to its family of Von Weise Drop-In Replacement gearmotors.

The VWDIR33 AC right angle gearmotors are available in six standard models and feature horse 1/12 horse power (62W), dual voltage (115/230V), dual frequency (60/50 Hz) single phase permanent split capacitor electric motors.

The compact, integral gear reducers utilise hardened steel worm gearing and cast iron output gears, with ratios ranging from 37:1 to 1,205:1.

Corresponding fixed output speeds are from 40 to 1.5rpm, with continuous torque ratings from 89 to 250in/lbs (10.1 to 28.3 Nm).

The gearmotors are available with left, right or dual output shafts, are reversible and feature all-position foot mounting with a 100lb (45.4 kg) overhung load capability.

The VWDIR33 AC right angle gearmotors are designed for commercial and industrial applications ranging from food service equipment to welding positioners and are available with UL and CSA recognition as standard.

CE recognition can be provided for OEMs and Bison Gear's Innopreneurial application and design engineering capabilities to customise standard models to meet specific OEM needs are available.

Bison's VWDIR line now includes right angle, parallel shaft and offset parallel shaft designs utilising AC, DC and universal motors from 1/30 to 1/2 horsepower (25 to 373W), with fixed output speeds from 1.5 to 181rpm and continuous torque ratings up to 800 in/lbs (90.4 Nm).
