Up to eight RTDs can be connected without using external switch boxes and associated cabling.
The F200 accepts all existing ASL probes with 5-pin DIN connectors and also the new "smart" probes with 5-pin DIN connectors, and it automatically detects which type of probe is connected - smart or standard.
Smart probes carry their own calibration data with them so users can be sure they are using the right data.
The F200's probe temperature watchdog monitors and records any out of range temperatures so users can see at a glance if the probe has been misused.
When the F200 needs recalibration, this can be done on site using built-in software and a calibrated traceable resistor from ASL.
