A Barber Insys product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 10, 2003

The ISG K6800 is a fully featured high-performance radiometric handheld infra-red camera designed for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.

Barber InSys has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for the new ISG K6800 fully featured high performance radiometric handheld infra-red thermal imaging camera, designed for predictive maintenance and condition monitoring.

The K6800 uses a state-of-the-art 320 x 240 UFPA amorphous silicon detector, driven by ISG's proprietary bolometer technology incorporating "hyper-filter" noise reduction electronics, to offer crisp image quality in an easy to use point and shoot configuration.

Temperature measuring range is either -10 to +1000C as standard, or optionally -40 to +2000C, with an accuracy of +/-2% or 2C of reading.

NETD is 0.08C at 30C.

The K6800 is fitted as standard with a 50mm 24-degree-field-of-view lens, with optional lens types such as wide angle, close up or narrow field of view types available for special applications.

Up to 500 images complete with audio notes are stored on a 128Mbyte removable Flash card.

The camera is completely self-contained in a dustproof, weather-resistant (IP54) aluminium housing.

Product repair, service and calibration facilities are provided in the UK by ISG Thermal Systems.
