The Proscan is a high-precision infra-red thermometer.

Proscan is a high precision infra-red thermometer from Barber InSys.

Incorporating what is described as a high quality glass lens to give a precision measuring beam diameter of 13mm up to a distance of 140mm from the target, after which the optical resolution is 20:1 claimed the company.

Accuracy over the range of 0 to +530C is claimed to be +/- 1C or 1% (+/-1C +0.07C from -32 to 0C) and with a resolution of 0.1C.

Other functions include laser pointer, adjustable emissivity, and high and low alarms.
