Thermal imaging on a budget
Thermal imager is ideally suited to electrical panel/fusegear surveys, and thanks to its real-time 50Hz response it can reliably monitor moving parts such as rollers or bearings.
A new low-cost thermal imager from Barber Insys promises "real-time" 50Hz thermal imaging and 19,200 pixel resolution for less than GBP 4000 The TE thermal imager is ideally suited to electrical panel/fusegear surveys, and thanks to its real-time 50Hz response it can reliably monitor moving parts such as rollers or bearings
Top end temperature measurement is 250C, and the unit has an uncooled microbolometer giving full scene radiometric measurement, plus a moveable spot temperature measurement.
Image storage is by way of internal Flash memory for storing both image and measurement data.
