Engine stands also handle other heavy machinery
Where there is a need to move or rotate an engine or heavy object, the Benco range of engine stands from The Brixworth Engineering Co provide handling capacities between 760kg and 20tonnes.
Purpose built crane cuts manual labour
Hydraulically powered special purpose jib crane is produced to comply with client specifications for the safe handling of total loads up to 750kg.
The Northampton-based company manufacturers an extensive selection of bespoke welding postioners.
For instance, the Benco mobile manipulator can handle components up to 3000 x 1500 x 500mm, and up to 1500kg in weight.
Due to these large proportions the equipment comes complete with a rechargeable battery powered lift.
Once at the desired height, it is then easy to rotate the component manually into the required position for welding.
Alternatively, the Benco rotary positioners feature variable speed rotation and can be fitted with a three or four jaw or faceplate that can accept components weighing up to 1000kg.
There is also a larger floor mounted model, a major benefit of which allows the user to adjust the length up to a maximum of 3000mm.
Rotation is achieved manually and components up to 5000kg in weight can be manipulated.
Brixworth has been successfully supplying welding positioners, engine stands and special gearbox units to companies all over the world.
However, despite having an extensive range of standard products, its philosophy has always been to provide a specialist solution to individual requirements.
