Bizerba UK has completed a major refurbishment of its head office in Hemel Hempstead, reflecting the company's ongoing policy of reinvesting in its production and customer support facilities.

The substantial upgrade has further extended the company's existing office layout, creating an open-plan environment that includes new IT and telecomms systems providing enhanced web-based support.

The GBP 150,000 refit includes new office furniture, lighting, storage systems and air-handling facilities, as well as improved showroom, customer demonstration and training areas.

Describing the refurbishment as "substantial", Michael Harris, Managing Director at Bizerba, said that although the seven-week project had been arduous, it would ultimately help the company become even more efficient.

"There was a strategic requirement to bring everyone closer together and produce a better working environment for staff.

The new office has created a integrated community, with employees very much at the centre of the business".

Bizerba's new office, which is "a result our expanding UK business", will provide Bizerba's customers with greater access to product support through the company's improved communication systems.

"The refit indicates that we are prepared to invest in our working environment in order to provide an improved service to our customers", Harris concluded.
