Industrial PC takes weighing system onboard

A new upgraded version of the proven NT industrial PC is the first system of its kind to incorporate a dedicated weighing system.

Bizerba is launching a new upgraded version of its proven NT industrial PC, which is the first system of its kind to incorporate a dedicated weighing system.

Designed specifically for demanding industrial environments, the new integrated scale provides a wide range of metric measurements and is extremely accurate to within 0.001g.

In particular, the NT industrial PC is designed to control and monitor a wide range of production processes such as weighing, dosing, counting, checking, control and data capture functions.

The system is available with three display options including net, tare and gross weights, plus there are taring and zeroing function keys as well as a menu bar for additional options.

Featuring a robust, IP65 stainless steel casing, the NT Industrial PC is specially designed for use in harsh environments.

With an IP65 rating, the system is resistant both to the ingress of dust and moisture.

In addition, the NT Industrial PC features a user friendly, infrared touch screen with shock proof safety glass.

The touch screen can be operated by the user even when wearing gloves and, more importantly, when the screen is wet.

The system also incorporates a new heat sync at the back of the unit, resulting in significantly improves heat loss.

Incorporating less surface area, this new modification is designed to reduce still further the possibility of food debris accumulating on the back of the unit.

The NT industrial PC is designed to operate under windows NT/2000/XP Professional and can be easily integrated with Bizerba labelling and printing systems, using Bizerba's BCT software.

Michael Harris, Managing Director of Bizerba UK explains, "Previously, the NT industrial PC would have been used in conjunction with separate weighing systems, however, our new upgraded version eliminates the need for separate scales and as such offers food processors a more cost effective option.

In addition, the system is highly accurate and provides repeatable measurements in operating environments where temperatures can typically reach 40C.
