A Beka Associates product story

Beka Associates has introduced an optional loop powered backlight for all its field and panel mounting intrinsically safe indicators.

Further enhancing its extensive range of 4-20mA loop powered intrinsically safe indicators, Beka Associates has introduced an optional loop powered backlight for all its field and panel mounting models.

This new backlight, which enables the indicator to be read at night and in poor lighting conditions, provides green background illumination for the display without the need for additional field wiring, Zener barriers or galvanic isolators.

It is ideal for use in remote field mounting instruments which have to be read in all lighting conditions when additional cables are not available, or the cost of installing additional cables and an IS interface can not be justified.

This loop powered backlight is also available as an option for the BA405C intrinsically safe 4-20mA setpoint station.

All models can still be supplied with the original separately powered backlight, which provides a bright orange output to enhance daylight viewing.
