Brookhouse Composites has installed a second Eurotecno spray booth/baking oven at its Holme Mill, Darwin, factory.
Brookhouse Composites has installed a second Eurotecno spray booth/baking oven at its Holme Mill, Darwin, factory to reinforce and extend its capability of providing a total composites design, manufacture and finishing service for the aerospace sector.
The new both is located in the recently refurbished paint spray facility, which includes a paint mixing room and a component preparation area, as well as the spray booths.
In addition to providing a finishing resource for manufactured composite parts, the spray booth facility will also find application in line with Brookhouse's status as an FAA- and EASA-approved repair station.
The new 7 x 4 x 2.66m booth is built to the highest specification and offers a downdraft airflow of up to 24,000m3/h to ensure the highest quality finish.
Even airflows during spraying quickly and efficiently remove any overspray while the downdraft system ensures that even temperatures are achieved in all parts of the booth during the baking phase.
This is the latest in a series of planned investments which are strengthening Brookhouse's position as the largest independent composites manufacturer in the UK.
The company offers the aerospace sector a dedicated design and manufacturing facility for composites tooling, as well as a capability for design, prototyping, manufacture, testing and finishing of complete composite components.
As a result, it can offer its global customers a global facility to take responsibility for complete parcels of composites' development and manufacture projects.
