The Fluke ScopeMeter 190 series is a range of high-performance dual-input handheld digital oscilloscopes with specifications normally associated with top-end bench instruments

The Fluke ScopeMeter 190 series, now available in the UK from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is a range of high-performance dual-input handheld digital oscilloscopes with specifications normally associated with top-end bench instruments There are three models in the range

The 192 has 60 MHz bandwidth and 500 MS/s real-time sampling, while the 196 has 100 MHz bandwidth and 1 GS/s sampling.

The top-of-the-range 199 features 200 MHz bandwidth and 2.5 GHz real-time sampling.

The instrument also includes a 5000-count true RMS multimeter and paperless recorder.

This can measure VAC RMS, VAC+DC, VDC, ohms, continuity, diode, amps and temperature (degrees C and F).

Using the ScopeRecord mode, a record length of 27,500 points per input is available with 1000 points per input in Scope mode.

The ScopeMeter 190 series allows the user to look back in time with a touch of the replay button.

In normal use, the instrument continuously memorises the last 100 screens.

Each time a new screen is acquired, the oldest is discarded.

At any moment, the last 100 screens can be frozen and scrolled through picture by picture or replayed as a live animation.

The advanced trigger capability may be used to capture up to 100 specific events.

Two sets of 100 captured screens with individual time stamps may be stored for later recall or download to a computer.

A software package (FlukeView) is available for documenting, archiving and analysis.

Waveforms, screens and measurement data can be transferred from the ScopeMeter to a PC.

A library of waveforms with comments for easy reference and comparison can be easily created.

For analysis, cursors may be used, spectrum analysis may be performed, or data may be exported to other analysis programs.

An optional kit allows connection of the ScopeMeter to a PC via an optically isolated RS-232 interface cable.

Standard items include an installed NiMH rechargeable battery, probe sets and clips, manual and a battery charger/line voltage adaptor.

ScopeMeter prices start at ?1496.00 (plus VAT).
