500W of programmable DC power in a
quarter-rack
The Xantrex XPD range of power supplies, now available in the UK from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), provides 500 W of programmable DC power in a quarter-rack chassis.
The Xantrex XPD range of power supplies, now available in the UK from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), provides 500 W of programmable DC power in a quarter-rack chassis The small size (109W x 132H x 297D mm) and high power density make the new supplies suitable for bench-top and OEM applications where wide adjustment of output voltage or current is required in a compact package of clean power

Electronic loads offer high current capability
The Dynaload RBL Series of single-channel electronic loads offer an exceptionally high current rating of 1000A, and are ideal for the testing of large batteries and other DC power equipment.
Compact bench power supply provides 175W
The EX355, new from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is a single-output laboratory DC power supply providing an output from 0 to 35V at 0 to 5A.
The XPD range uses 'state of the art' zero-voltage or soft-switching technology that virtually eliminates switching transients and contributes to the high efficiency, low noise and high reliability.
All models in the range are power-factor corrected for low current draw and reduced generation of input-current harmonics.
Analogue programming is available as standard, and optional 16-bit GPIB (IEEE-488) and RS-232 interfaces are also available.
Remote programming and monitoring accuracy is 1% of full scale for the default range.
Universal mains input (84 to 264 V AC, 47 to 63 Hz) allows worldwide use without transformer adjustment.
Input current harmonics meet the IEC 1000-3-2 standard.
High-resolution setting of voltage and current limit is achieved using 10-turn front-panel knobs.
Separate large front-panel digital displays give a clear indication of voltage and current settings.
For systems applications, a 19-inch rackmount kit is available.
This will accommodate four XPD units or any combination of XPD, HPD or XT units from the Xantrex range.
The XPD range features both front and rear connectors as standard.
Five-way binding posts are fitted to the front panel.
The rear panel has busbars for 7.5 to 33 V units and wire clamp connectors for 60 to 120 V units.
Five models are available in the XPD range.
These include voltages from 0-7.5 V to 0-120 V and currents from 0-67 A to 0-4.5 A.
All XPD units cost ?1010 (plus VAT).
