The intensive audit process, which measures each company's performance against criteria in seven business areas - business development, financial management, general management, human resources, project management, quality management, and technical management - is conducted by an outside auditing firm.
"These companies", said CSIA Chairman Robert Reinhart, "truly serve as the 'gold standard' for control and information system integrators worldwide.
All have clearly demonstrated their understanding - and acceptance - of what it takes to be good businesspeople in addition to being superior technologists".
The criteria for the Registered Member programme was developed in concurrence with Fortune 500 companies, other firms that use control and information system integrators' services, control manufacturers that often team with these firms, and CSIA members.
"The registration process has twin missions", said Reinhart.
"One, to assist users in evaluating and selecting integration firms, and two, to provide control and information system integrators a means to evaluate and continuously improve their own businesses.
As a member of the honoured 'Gold Tier' class, Bachelor Controls has clearly shown its commitment to the control and information system integration community".
Ray Bachelor, President of Bachelor Controls, said: "CSIA is the premier benchmarking organisation in the control and systems integration industry.
Recognition as a Gold Tier member is a testament to our project methodologies, financial stability and depth of service.
It's another reason why customers trust us to provide the leadership necessary to guide them through the risk associated with automating their systems and processes".
